Red Deer

The hub of Central Alberta, Red Deer is home to just over 100,000 residents.  Known as the City of Parks, Red Deer's beautiful river valley intersects our city and well groomed trails connect dozens of beautiful parks and greenspaces.  You can easily spend a full day exploring the river valley on foot, bicycle, scooter or snowshoe in any season.  My favorites are Mackenzie Trails, Kerrywood Nature Centre, Bower Ponds, and Three Mile Bend off-leash dog park.

If you are raising a family, Red Deer Public Schools offers 23 schools from Pre-K to Grade 12, including French Immersion and Spanish Bilingual options.  Red Deer Catholic Schools offers 15 schools as well, from Pre-K to Grade 12.  Following high school, young adults can attend Red Deer Polytechnic or the Donald School of Business, MC College or Delmar College, or a number of additional educational and training institutions.

As the economic hub of Central Alberta, many of our neighbors come to Red Deer for business, work or shopping.  We have at least 19 major chain restaurants, 2 malls, big box store shopping options, and thousands of small and larger businesses and services.  And if you can't find what you are looking for in Red Deer, our location is ideal - halfway between Edmonton and Calgary and within a couple of hours of the mountains, we have easy access to the best of Alberta at any time.

A great place to live, work and play - Red Deer keeps its small town feel with all of the benefits of a major urban center.
